Product Enablement | Business Specialist
Role Purpose
- Acts as the right hand to the Product Owner for SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning
- Responsible for executing the product vision and strategy defined by the Product Owner
- Ensures ideas and strategy are translated into delivered, adopted, and value-adding solutions
- Serves as a key link between business, finance, and IT
Product Execution & Ownership
- Owns and drives in partnership with the IT Scrum Lead the SAC Planning roadmap, aligned to business priorities and product strategy
- Translates Product Owner vision into clear epics, features, deliverables, and OKRs
- Acts as the primary executor, ensuring initiatives move from concept to implementation
- Manages prioritization of enhancements and defects, balancing business value, urgency, and platform sustainability
- Partner with IT Scrum Lead to track progress, dependencies, and risks to ensure successful delivery
Requirements & Model Enablement
- Leads requirements gathering and refinement for SAC Planning models and features
- Owns continuous model refinement and optimization based on user feedback and evolving business needs
- Converts business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications for planning models and features owned by business
- Provides clear business requirements for the creation of functional specifications and sign-offs for planning models and features owned by IT
- Ensures planning models are scalable, performant, and aligned with best practices for planning models and features owned by business
- Provides input and insights into planning model designs that ensures flexibility while maintaining consistency and scalability (supporting IT)
- Supports standardization while allowing flexibility where business needs require it
Collaboration with IT & Delivery Teams
- Works closely with IT, developers, and data teams to analyze, design, build, test, and deploy SAC Planning solutions
- Acts as the functional authority during design, build, testing, and deployment phases
- Leads [s]Supports[/s] UAT and partners with IT for defect resolution, and release readiness
- [s]Ensures alignment[/s] Understands how business decisions impact [s]with[/s] enterprise data architecture and integration standards
- Partners with IT to attend vendor forums and conferences to stay abreast of technology advancements and incorporates into business technology roadmaps where appropriate
Enablement, Adoption & Value Realization
- Drives feature enablement and adoption across business user groups
- Supports change management through documentation, training, and stakeholder communication
- Partners with stakeholders to ensure SAC Planning capabilities are used effectively
- Helps measure and communicate business value and outcomes from SAC Planning solutions
Skills & Expertise
- Strong techno-functional expertise in SAP Analytics Cloud Planning (SAC P)
- Hands-on experience with planning models, data actions, allocations, calendars, and workflows for objects and features owned by the business
- Strong financial planning and accounting acumen, including understanding of P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, forecasting, budgeting, and financial drivers.
- Good understanding of analytics and reporting, enabling integration between planning and insights
- Ability to translate between business needs and technical solutions
- Familiarity with agile or product-based delivery models
